This is my Self Portrait Collage. I used three different photos to overlap my self portrait to create the collage. The first photo is of my favorite place to go when my family goes up north it is called Old Mission Peninsula, I chose this photo because every year I love going and taking pictures at this spot. My second photo is of the beach at Put-In-Bay during a sunset, I chose this photo because I loved the colors of the sky. The third photo is of a tree at my grandparents lake house with the sun shining through it, I chose this photo because I love taking pictures of trees. All of these photos represent my favorite places and where I like to take pictures. This Self Portrait Collage represents me.

This is a double exposure image with myself and the Chicago skyline. I chose to make both of these photos black and white, so the colors on both images wouldn't blend together. I placed the image of the skyline so that you can see most of the buildings and there details. I chose an opacity that reveals both myself and the buildings equally. I enjoyed only using one image to overlap this photo because it creates a more simple image.
Compared to Trees and Sunsets, I chose to make this image black and white because I think it makes it look more sophisticated. In my first collage, every photo was in color, many colors blended together and made the image cluttered. In the second photo, the overlapping photo only overlaps my face, not the whole image. This allows more focus on the main object in the photo. I used lots of aspects of nature in the first photo, so I decided to use the picture of the skyscrapers to create contrast between the two photographs. These two images are very different but display the change in me as a photographer and as a person this past trimester. |
